Member Engagement Specialist

Job Summary
Responsible for performing a broad variety of member services such as receiving, reviewing, and evaluating loan requests for consumer autos, credit cards, and overdraft account loans. Advises members about credit policies, obtains loan information and documentation, and assists with branch teller and new account functions. Assists branch personnel as needed in accordance with Credit Union established policies and procedures.

Monday through Friday 1:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. or
Monday through Friday 8:45 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
To be effective in this position an individual must be able to perform each job duty successfully.
€ Provide excellent service to members and potential members
€ Recognize member needs and cross-sell products and services
€ Balance cash drawer daily
€ Represent the Credit Union in a professional manner, both in dress and in action
€ Accurately and efficiently process transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures
€ Actively participate and complete product knowledge courses
€ Follow-up on referrals
€ Comply with all regulations as required by law
€ Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Experience
Will train on-site. Three to five years of financial institution experience, with at least some lending experience. Credit Union experience preferred.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent
Licenses, Certifications & Training
To be completed within the first 180 days: Goldenwest product knowledge courses & Goldenwest certifications.
Other Skills & Abilities
Thorough understanding of Credit Union consumer lending, new account, and teller policies, procedures and processes. Working knowledge of Credit Union products and services. Excellent communication, public relations skills, good organization skills, professional appearance and attitude, and must be attentive to detail. Ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment.
Physical Abilities & Working Conditions
Ability to talk, hear, sit, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms consistently. Ability to stand, walk, kneel and crouch occasionally. Close vision as clear vision at 20 inches or less, and distance vision as clear vision at 20 feet or more. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds consistently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Moderate noise such as business office with computers and printers, and light traffic.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
