Pluralsight is looking for an experienced Facilities Project Manager to join our Real Estate and Facilities team! Here's what a day in the life of a Facilities Project Manager might look like:
Plan and coordinate office moves, adds, changes
Oversee office projects and coordinate all related details
Ensure projects are delivered on-time, and within scope and budget
Develop project scopes and objectives
Develop detailed plans and track progress
Create and maintain project documentation
Control activities like waste disposal, building security, etc.
Handle insurance plans and service contracts
Keep financial and non-financial records
Perform analysis and forecasting
Role Requirements:
A Facilities Project Manager at Pluralsight is proficient in the following areas:
Project Management: Experience in project management will be key to succeed in this role. You need to be able to take a starting vision or objective and build the project from the ground up, all while adhering to timelines, budgets and scope.
Communication: The facilities project manager will need to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to make sure the job gets done. Integral skills include being able to make clear agreements, juggle priorities, navigate and lead cross-functional project teams, communicate efficiently and follow through on commitments.
Analytical Skills: The facilities project manager must look at a lot of different information and make decisions based on needs and budget concerns.
Attention to Detail: Quality control is a large part of a facilities manager's job. They make sure cleaning, upkeep and safety standards are maintained and that efficiencies are discovered. The facilities project manager is able to zoom out to see the full range of the project, and afterwards double clicks into each stage of the project to ensure 100% completion. This includes scope and planning, budgeting, execution, communication, completion, and documentation.
Leadership Skills: A Pluralsight Facilities Project Manager sees themselves as a leader of the business. They are motivated, show unwavering integrity, aim to inspire others, and are accountable for excellence.
Bias for Action: The person for this role doesn't stand by if they see something that needs to be taken care of. There's rarely a time when they consider a task to be outside of their job description when it comes to our facilities. They help to make sure that everything is running smoothly, and if it's not then they already know about it and are working to improve it.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
