The position supports the Employment Litigation section, and reports to the Executive Vice President General Counsel and Senior Employment Litigation Manager.
Key Performance Elements/
Responsibilities:
Perform initial intake and review of cases including fact investigation and development; Conduct interviews and search collections related to factual investigations; Coordinate responses to demand letters, subpoenas and discovery requests, including responsibility for communicating with personnel, and collecting and producing responsive documents; Responding to EEOC and DOL/DIR charges; Assisting company attorneys, Human Resources departments, and outside legal resources with preparation of company responses; Successful candidates should:
Possess strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint and Outlook; Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, and excellent problem-solving and organizational skills; Provide caseload management, including:
Calendaring and docketing of case deadlines; Responsible for litigation support database (Legal Tracker).
Minimum Qualifications & Experience At least five years in a fast-paced law firm or corporate legal department; Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as legal studies, paralegal studies or business law or Paralegal Certificate; Highly independent, needs little guidance and can effectively prioritize and handle multiple demanding projects; Experience with employee investigations, agency charges (EEOC, Civil Rights, PAGA, DOL/DIR); Knowledge of key US employment laws such as EEO, FMLA, ADA, ADEA; US state laws, California Wage and Hour laws desirable; Experience investigating claims of discrimination, harassment and retaliation and involvement with wage-and-hour and other employment-related disputes; Attention to detail and follow-through; Excellent team player with attitude that no job is too big or too small.
This is an In-Office, Non-Remote Position, M-F 8 hrs a day PACS provides back office legal, finance, HR and other administrative support services to skilled nursing and assisted living facilities in seven states.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
